Creating Traffic to Your Website

Written by: Michelle Gartner

Web Traffic

Now that your business has a new or updated site on the web, keeping internet users coming back should be a high priority. The more contact your company has with potential customers the more likely your company can win the sale. It takes some time for your company name or brand to become readily recognizable to your prospects. Here are some easy to use tools to bridge the gap between being an unknown and making the sale, while using your website for the marketing delivery.

Blogging

Blogging? You heard me right, that easy to use, annoying web application that everyone from teenagers to grandmother’s use to write their view of the world, is a little known marketing gold mine. Your company blog equals your business expertise available to a larger audience instantaneously. Once a well designed blog is attached to your website, your ability to create valuable tips for your existing customer base is at your fingertips at any time. Don’t forget to post your company news and successes.

Photo Galleries

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. An easy to maintain photo gallery, that showcases your business services or products is an excellent way to add fresh content your website. After all, fresh content is what keeps you going back to your favorite websites. Are you at a loss for words? Don’t have anyone that can write on staff? You don’t need to write when your updated photo gallery gets the picture across.

Project of the Month

Have a great project recently completed? Want to get the news out about the great services or products your company has just started offering? An easy to update project of the month area on your website keeps it looking fresh on a monthly basis. You don’t do projects? Then think of all the news you would like your customers and sales prospects to know. Have your homepage primed to share the news that your business is doing great things.

Once your website is on the internet don’t tuck it away for later use. Your website shouldn’t be a sleeping giant or a one hit wonder. When you direct people to your website do it with pride knowing they are going to walk a way form the experience with a whole new outlook on your company.
